Divorcé Shows Up for a Date for the First Time Ever | September 29th, 2006

By Clint Griess

CHICAGO, IL -- Kate S. of Evanston, IL, has had plenty of experience in dating, but not once has she really shown up for a date until late last Wednesday while dining at a local restaurant with a man she met online two months earlier. “I realized that night that I had been hiding myself all along. How could they ever get to know me?” Then “in that very moment”, Kate recalls, she left behind any reasons for not sharing herself with men and stopped acting the way she thought she was supposed to act.

Kate attributes her sudden breakthrough to a program called Abundant Dating, offered by Juice Joint Coaching. The program trains participants to look closely at their dating experiences. The process helps people find and remove obstacles that stop them from having a fulfilling romantic life.

When asked today how her date felt about Kate's surprise and sudden transformation, a Michigan man, who wishes to remain anonymous, only replied, “Well I really enjoyed her company. Um. Really.”  Experts explain the date’s casual attitude as a natural response consistent with having good company on a date.

Kate's transformation has been so complete that she now has to pick and choose which telephone calls to return, and she reports experiencing increased self-esteem.

In another surprise moment of awareness, Kate saw how she felt freed up to focus more of her emotional energy on important things in her life other than "draining relationships with men". She exclaims, “It’s like I’m lighter and more desirable. I have more energy to give to my art projects and my career goals.”

Kate credits her interactions with life coach Clint Griess, saying “This would never have happened if it weren’t for the Abundant Dating program.” Kate tells of how she initially balked when her coach asked her to take risks in dating during one of their weekly telephone sessions. “Yeah, it was tough to take a leap into the unknown, but the rewards are so fantastic!”
